Chris spent the first 10 years of his career working in the advertising agency field focused primarily on quick service restaurant advertising and marketing in the Midwest.

His first position in television was as National Sales Manager at WSAZ-TV in Huntington. He went on to become General Sales Manager as well. He spent two years as Director of Marketing for Lee Enterprises (owner of WSAZ) at their corporate office in Davenport, Iowa, working with newspapers and television stations. He was transferred to KMTV-TV (also owned by Lee Eneterprises), the CBS affiliate in Omaha, Neb., as General Manager.

Chris returned to West Virginia to oversee the National Sales for all four WVMH stations as well as overall Sales Management of the group.

Chris now resides in Charleston with his wife, Beth, and three children. He has an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and a graduate degree in Business from Marshall University.

Roger Lyons

Roger Lyons, as Vice President/News, oversees the news operation for all West Virginia Media television stations. In addition, he serves at Station Manager for WTRF-TV in Wheeling, WV.

Lyons, a St. Albans, WV native, has worked in television for 28 years. He most recently returned home to West Virginia in 2002 from Michigan where he managed a television news operation for LIN Broadcasting.

He has also held several television news management positions in West Virginia and Ohio and has served on a number of both media and community related boards.

As station manager at WTRF-TV, Lyons manages the day to day operation of the company's CBS affiliate in the Wheeling/Steubenville market. Lyons and his wife, an artist and writer, reside in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia.

John Osborne

John Osborne, as Chief Technology Officer for West Virginia Media, oversees the information technology operations at all West Virginia Media properties including WOWK-TV in Huntington/Charleston, WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, WTRF-TV in Wheeling, WVNS-TV in the Bluefield-Beckley and the State Journal.

His responsibilities include technology planning, design, implementation, and management. He joined WVMH in 2002 and is responsible for the implementation and management of the microwave and fiber network, and other broadcasting technologies along with computer networking and traditional telecommunications systems.

John has a wide range of experience in information and telecommunications technologies and has worked in the Information Technology field for 16 years. The first 10 years primarily in business information and technology consulting including 9 years at Simpson & Osborne as a technology consultant.

He is a native of Charleston, WV, and attended Georgia Institute of Technology and has completed certifications for Microsoft (MCSE) and Cisco (CCNA). He enjoys writing and backpacking. John and his wife, Bevin, reside in Charleston, WV and have two sons, Morgan and Greyson.

Jeff Whitman

Jeff Whitman is Chief Information Officer for West Virginia Media. Jeff oversees and maintains the Wide Area Networks and connectivity between all properties that stretches from Huntington to Wheeling. His responsibilities also include technology decision-making, design and implementation of all corporate projects involving technology. Jeff works side by side with John Osborne as a team to provide technical excellence from the desktop to the air.

Jeff, a St. Albans, WV native has been involved with technology for 7 years, including 3 years of television technology experience. After graduation, Jeff worked with Lockheed Martin, before coming back to the mountain state as a computer consultant for Simpson & Osborne.

Jeff holds a bachelor's degree in MIS (Management Information Systems), from the University of Central Florida. Jeff and his wife, Mandy, a registered nurse, reside in Hurricane, WV.
